Spring is sprung

Lake Erie's Ice is casting a shadow of cool air over our garden, but spring is in the air!

Today a large flock of geese flew overhead, coming home from their winter vacation, the starlings and robins are back, and nature is awakening from the long sleep of hibernation.

The garden is waking up as well, crocus leaves have sprouted, tulip leaves are poking out, and the tips of dafodils, (those jolly jaunty jonquils) are starting to pierce the ground.

This year for the first time the garden is entered in the Garden Walk. This will be the Garden's 3rd summer and we are ready to show off the hard work that everyone has contributed.

There are plenty of weeds sprouting, find your work gloves we will see you in the garden for a volunteer clean up and planting day soon.
